About
Who we are
Fur Ewa Cat Rescue is a small, all volunteer organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats. It is our mission to provide for the adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens in permanent homes.
We are further dedicated to the care and wellbeing of these homeless cats and to educating the public on the need to spay or neuter pets, the prevention of animal cruelty, responsible pet ownership, and actively encouraging trap neuter return (TNR) in our community.
Fur Ewa Cat Rescue takes in abandoned, injured, or at risk cats and kittens to the extent of our resources. We have helped cats in hoarding situations, through TNR, and those dumped on roads to become someone else's problem.
We promote and believe in spaying and neutering all pets, and help our community trap, neuter, and return monthly to stop the cycle. We have a motto of "no mom left behind", which means we go to great lengths to ensure that mom does not have to have babies again.
We greatly rely on the availability of foster homes. Fur Ewa Cat Rescue places cats in foster care for socializing and short term care on the way to their forever family.
